Asking The Right Questions

Asking the right questions in different situations can be vital to clearing your doubts or solving your problem. I came across this case study from a friend.

A merchant is going to a village to do business. There are 2 villages, one village with honest villagers and the other with villagers who like to lie. The merchant intends to conduct his business in the honest village. On his way, he stopped at a junction where it shows 2 roads, one road leads to the honest village and the other leads to the village where people like to lie. At the junction, there is a man from one of the villages. What question should the merchant ask this man in order to get to the village he wants to do business with?
